flat bench or not
hi guys i hurt my left pec about 7 weeks ago on flat bench press [its good now] i just wanted to no if i could just do incline for my chest ....i will also be doing machine pec deck and machine chest bench press......is this ok or do i need to do flat to get that fuller chest ..............i dont want to pull it again thats all....

incline bench is good and decline in particlar,the chest press machines are good also they give a nice stretch.
but how did you injure yourself before if your training correctly there shouldnt be a problem?just curious maybe we could help with that also?

just be careful. i would say do the flat BB bench but ease into it. start with weight that you know you can do and work up until you feel it is too much. work from there...

most people will get more shoulder discomfort from incline than flat in my experience. but, with correct form, and the right poundage, both are safe, very effective exercises. chances are from the machine pec deck you will be hitting the chest similar as to flat benching, so throw incline work in there to make sure you dont get an imbalance between upper and lower chest
