    Cardio first then weights???

6'5" 230 19% BF....want to lose about 15-20 lbs. before I start adding a weight regimen to the mix. Is this the correct procedure?? Should I stay with cardio 4-5 days per week and then get to weights later down the road or does it really matter?? Also, with respect to diet, do I need protein shakes before and after I go to the gym if I am mainly doing cardio, or should I add protein into the diet once I begin the weights??

Thanks for everything you all contribute!!!

Well i do my cardio in the evening, but it all depends on what you can do really, some do it first thing in the morning.

    1) U need cardio
    2) U need weight training to keep lean mass while dieting
    3) U need an impeccable dietary approach to support 1 and 2

IMO, I think it depends on your goal here. Do you want to lose 15-20 pounds because you want to lose weight or because you want to cut your BF%? You can still maintain your weight and get you BF down to an acceptable level. I would get about 20 pounds over what you want to be at weight-wise and then cut down by good diet and cardio based training program to cut of the extra fat you have gained.
