    critique my split

    im currently doing:

    mon- chest and tri's
    tues- shoulders and bi's
    wed- rest
    thurs- back and tri's
    fri-chest and bi's
    sat-legs

so basically im doing chest, bi's and tri's twice a week.

i was thinking about rotating my split so what ever i do on monday i would repeat on friday but i thought due to constant changes it might shock my body too much. What you guys think?

Way too much bis and tris bro, and too much chest, unless you running a big cycle or some insulin then thats way too much training. You only need to train a muscle group once per week. Heres a better idea. This is what i do and it works really well.

    mon, back
    tue, chest, calves
    wed, arms (bis tris)
    thurs, rest
    fri, legs, calves
    sat, shoulders
    sun rest

With that routine you are training your arms twice per week which you want anyways without directly training them cauing them to be overtrained. You want to train so your kind of on a push pull routine sorta thing, so your not overtraining the muscle group you trained the day before. If you were to train chest on mon do you think your going to be at you strongest to train shoulders on tuesday, HELL NO, a better idea would be to train back and then shoulders, you catch my drift???? I also like traing my arms when I do because theyre kinda of exausted from back day and chest day, that way I dont have to go that heavy on them to make them grow, lighter weights and higher reps make my arms grow the best. You just have to try a few different training routine to see what really works best for yourself

    Here:
    Chest/Triceps
    Back/Biceps
    OFF
    OFF
    Shoulders
    Legs
    OFF

Bad ass split, just make sure You're doing very intense workouts, so Your body will need these days OFF.

Well, not to be cocky but I think my split would be most efficient if You use it right.
Took some time, test/trial and advice of some very experienced guys around here.
Nothing confusing in this... just look at each one, think about it and there You have it...

I mean like one of the suggested splits above.. How the hell can You tell this guy to workout his legs... after his back day. Are You crazy ?
If Your workouts are really intense, You wont be able to do a REAL leg workout after Your back! Unless your leg workout means leg curl and extensions. If You tried to do squats... good luck.

Also working out biceps and triceps day after the chest. Same thing here... I mean if You really have hard chest workout, Your triceps WILL get involved a lot.. so by working it out next day, while it supose to be RESTING makes no sense to me... and can't be more efficient.

    Thanks.

    it depends
it depends how long youve been training for, the bigger your muscles are the more its gonna take to break them down, if youve been only training for a little while and you hit your chest with like lets say 25 sets your muscle are gonna be ****ed, youll do way too much damage, so as you train youll begin to figure out what works best for you.
I do 4 excersises for my chest, 12 sets
4 excersises for back, 12 sets
3 excersises for arms, 8 sets
3 for quads, 3 for hams, 10 sets each
5 excersise for shoulders 13 sets, 2 sets for front rear and side raises.
