    Whats more Important?

    What would you say is more important, During your workout, having an extreme pump like you've stolen someones body(through the entire workout) OR being sore the next day, like you've had a kickass workout.

    For myself, it seems i get one or the other, but i cant achieve both.

    Thoughts?

    pump. being sore is not a good thing the next day.

    why would being sore the next day be a bad thing? Doesnt that show you had a good workout and are in process of tearing down and rebuilding tissue?

    p.s. - i seem to never be sore the day after

    I prefer the pump. Like Arnold said "A good pump is a lot like coming". I personally like "coming" all the time.

    I think the pump helps to stretch the muscle fascia , which is beneficial.

    Muscle soreness is a good indication of a good workout although it is commonly a result of overtraining particarly on muscles that have not been worked thouroughly recently. quite often severe muscle soreness is a result of damage to the connective tissue which is usually a slow process to recover from and so depending on your training cycle could impede your progress.
