New workout routine - seems wierd

Ok so i got up with a guy who used to be a bodybuilder and moved to powerlifting about a year ago. Im wondering if his split is ok compared to mine.

My current routine is split like - mon-chest,tris tues - quads thurs - shoulders fri - back, hams, bis

The routine he gave me mon - entire upper body high reps low weight tues - all lower body high weight low reps thurs - entire upper heavy weight low reps fri - entire lower body high reps low weights

Looks like just a 2 on 1 off, 2 on 3 off upper/lower split, huh? Sure, I've seen that before... even done it before, lol. What's your goals though? And what kind of exercises are you doing with that split?
