    Met Lou Ferrigno today...

and he really preached on working body parts twice a week...course the man is an animal. I've been think about doing this anyway, do any of you work bodyparts twice a week or know of any good routines geared around such a schedule. I will be beginning my 2nd cycle soon and that should make recovery time less of an issue. Just thought I may get good results as this would be a total change from what I normally do.

That would be awesome to meet Lou!!!

I made some of my best strength and mass gains doing twice a week. The only problem with it is I tend to get injures when I do that. Maybe two weeks doing twice a week then two off or something like that would probably help with me. Right now though I am so busy with my studies its hard to make it three times a week.

No he didn't charge. I am a student at a chiropractic college and he came to visit today. I just thought it was strange that he preached so much on doing body parts twice a week. I used to do that a couple years ago and got pretty insane strength gains, but I'm working more for "the look" now days. Was just curious what you guys thought.

    Cause I know you.....

Just kidding, you said you were at chiropractic college. Your location says your in Dallas Texas. As far as I know Parker is the only Chiro school in Dallas. So naturally my detective work led me to believe that you went to Parker. LOL

I have been working out 3 on 1 off so I hit a body part twice a week. I started this a couple of years ago and I LOVE IT.

i still stick to 1 bodypart a week.

when i was gaining nicely and the weights werent as heavy as they are now i didnt have a problem hitting everything 2x a week.

The heavier weights get, the more downtime i need to recover, usually im down to 1 bodypart a week now and if i feel good then i'll go for 2.

I have been training one body part per week for a couple of years now and I prefer it. Before this I was on a 2 week schedule. I would plan my workouts to hit the same body part 3 times in 2 weeks.

Arrow Once a week vs twice a week..

An 8 week cycle consisting of training a bodypart twice a week works great when once a week bodypart training quits working, but it should not be used as a baseline because it's too hard on the joints and cns.

Maybe I'll switch it up and try it out for my up coming cycle. Just want to make sure I maximize my gains though...

I get weaker if I hit tings twice a week, plus I have a hard time getting a pump after a while on it too. once a week for me.

You will get weaker until the body adapts (usually takes about 3 weeks).

i tend to focus more on training intensly than hitting the groups often, any more than once a week and i get too tired out.
