Lightbulb How about cardio right after weight lifting?

I started taking ampo2 and I seem to still have a lot of energy even after I'm done with my lifting, (I have to stop myself otherwise I would end up overtraining).

What if afterI'm done with my workout I take my carb shake, BCAAs, and glutamine; then do cardio for 25-30 minutes before I take my protien shake?

Would that be a bad idea?

    TIA

You should just take some protein after lifting then do cardio. Dont take carbs that really defeats the purpose of the cardio! Taking some protein in will help burn fat and not muscle since glycogen stores will be depleted from lifting.

Similar to above, once you ingest a carb source and your insulin spikes it all but cancels the affects of adrenaline to burn fat.

BTW does your name refer to the LS6 (454) in the 70 Chevelle's or the newer LS6 in vettes?

I sometimes do cardio after I workout. Its usually no more than 20 minutes of HIIT. As long as my total workout is around 60 minutes(give or take), I don't worry about ingestion of extra drinks or foods. As long as you get a shake in you, within 30 minutes of your workout. That has always worked for me.

LS6 as in the motor used in C5z06s, which I had in my WS6 along with some goodies and nitrous. I now own a 03 Cobra though.

Nice, I am getting ready to build a motor for my WS6 this winter. I am building it for a boosted application though, no silly juice for now......LOL
