WORKOUt on an empty stomach ?

    hi guys,

We undoubtedly know that making a cardio workout on an empty stomach burn fat from the first minute to the last.

it's why i ve been wondering if making a body workout on an empty stomach will burn fat ?

if yes, does it burn the intra fat muscle ? ( fat in the muscle)

i mean, the burned fat will be the fat located in the drilled muscle.

for example : you train your biceps and thus, the burned fat will be the fat which is located above the biceps or in the biceps ?

I ask this question because after my cardio workout on an empty stomach, i would continue by lifting weights to avoid me to come morning and night.

    thanks for all constructif answers.

and could you make explicit and detail your answer.

When adrenaline is released by the adrenal medulla -- an interior region of the adrenal glands, which are located just above your kidneys -- it allows blood to flow more easily to your muscles. This means that more oxygen is carried to your muscles by the extra blood, which allows your muscles to function at elevated levels. Skeletal muscles -- those attached to bones by tendons -- are activated by electrical impulses from the nervous system. When they're stimulated, muscles contract, meaning they shorten and tighten. This is what happens when you lift an object, run or throw a punch. Adrenaline also facilitates the conversion of the body's fuel source (glycogen) into its fuel (glucose). This carbohydrate gives energy to muscles, and a sudden burst of glucose also allows muscles to strengthen further.

Glycogenesis is the process of glycogen synthesis, in which glucose molecules are added to chains of glycogen. This process is activated by insulin in response to high glucose levels, for example after a carbohydrate containing meal.

So therefore if you fail to intake a high carbohydrate meal before weight training, you'll simply feel tired and drained and this can be catabolic because your body will be searching for energy, and can begin to break down muscle for that needed energy.

To burn fat you also need depleted glycogen stores, and it's easy to obtain lipolysis. Do a whey shake with water before cardio so as to have aminos for muscles and at the same time a lack of carbs for fat burning.

Can't carbs be replaced by fats? Although I've been trying the whole carb cycling routine, and on my zero carb day, I still feel run down even while upping my fat intake. Information I read on a ketogenic diet stated, that fats are a better source of energy than carbs...but my body sure isn't acting like it...ahah I always thought people were full of it, claiming there was such a thing as sugar withdrawls; but man am I cranky on the zero carb days when no sugar is consumed.

carbs are more easily converted to energy than fats. i would probably take in some caffeine of some sort before a workout on a zero carb day.

Carb cycling works great but you have to understand the basics. First off you should not be lifting weights are your "no carb" day. Some low intensity steady state cardio is fine. I'm assuming you are running your carb cycling similar to this: high carb day, low carb day, no carb day and repeat. If this is the case then the body never truly goes into ketosis. Ketosis takes place after the body has been held to only trace amounts of carbs (less than 30-50g/day) for right around three days...after that 3rd day ketosis kicks in. When ketosis is achieved then the body starts using fat for energy and spares muscle. That being said I prefer carb cycling for cutting rather than a keto diet.
