in high school we had this water boy who would lift with the baseball team. he was kinda slow. one time doing step ups he was swingin his arms with 40 pound db and he hit himself in the forehead he had to get stitches. once he was doing military press standing up and fell backwards. he broke his wrist and the bar landed on his kneck so he had a nasty bruise across it. this poor kid almost died like 5 times.

The best is when a guy brings in his gf, who often isn't that great looking, and then tries to do a lot more weight than he can otherwise. It is always so funny. I saw this one guy, loaded the bench with 225, barely gets half a rep out, puts the bar back on, and then complains about something like being tired or grip or sore hand. then his gf takes off the plates for him and she wasn't more than 110lbs. poor girl. i should of bitch slapped him.
Now I think it's not fair to deem that girl incapable of taking off those 45's. That gf may have wanted to take them off. I had my old GF help me with my weights, and it was a lot more than 4 45's on the barbell. She actually appreciated that I didn't treat her like a girly girl and more like a training partner. Women aren't incapable of doing physical work, now are they?

Anyhow, my story is that there's this guy who's super jacked in my gym and always wears sweats (or sweats cut into shorts) and a tee-shirt. His upper body is massive, but his legs and calves look like they've never been worked. It makes me sick. I've never seen him do any leg work or even deadlifts.

    Hey Drummer:

Yes, I can see your point. I had no issue with my ex taking off my weights.

But I should mention this guy, while his gf was taking off the weights, was just walking around and trying to catch his breath from doing 1/2 a rep. She was definately struggling to get the 45's off the bar and then onto the rack. She was not enjoying herself. And then, he was teaching her how to do the bench, his improper technique.

Also, saw that guy with the make up again today. wow. scary.

I saw some kid yesterday do deads on a smith machine.

he stacked on 315. used straps.

he left those safety thingy's on the bottom of the smith pretty high though, so his range of motion was approximately 4 inches.
