    Abs routine

    I have a questions regarding abs,
    how many times a week do you train them?
    sets in total? 15-20 any good?
    which exercises are best for a overall development?

    * I always see ppl putting crazy weight on the crunch machine they have at the gym, and I have heard that the more weight you use on those kinds of machines, it causes you to have a wider waistline. cause by abs muscle development.

    i agree with HP. during the big exercises like squats and dead you get the best core work. doing isolated ab work is in order to prepare for a comp only.

    i only have athletes do core work if they are having stability issues with the squat or deadlift.
