    ice cold baths and hot baths? what do they do?

    ice cold baths and hot baths?
    ive seen brock lesnar use the ice cold bath after training. just wondering what they do and why people do them and when would u do them?

    I'm sure cold. since cold does stop swelling? lol

    cold stops swelling, heat speeds up the break up of inflamation. My understanding anyway. Someone correct me if i'm wrong

    That's what i learned. Make sense tho. After A hard workout, But i mean a hard your're SWOLE status and your shoulders and joints hurt! from how hard your pumped.

    A cold shower afterwards does help my shoulder pains. So I can imagine after a MMA/sprawling for hours how your body would feel after a ice cold bath.

    you suppose to alternate between the two. 5-10 minutes in an icebath then 10-15 minutes in a hot bath. Suppose to be a great recovery tool, I haven't done it since college though.

    This is great if you do not have lots of bruising and low level internal bleeding then Ice alone is correct
