Power Blocks

Thinking about picking up a pair for my basement gym so I'm looking for opinions from anyone who may have used them!
20-100lb set. Input appreciated, thanks guys (and girls!)

they are good. I think the handle is a litte awkward for certain exercises. They last for ever. Look at the u-90 set. The go from 5-90 in 2.5lb increments

Thank you. These are used. Found them on Craigslist and they seem to be a decent price. Tired of being limited with 52.5 pound selectech's.

I just picked up some stage 2 power block dumbells with a stand a couple months ago. Love them so much 20-100lbs and so easy to change. Also should I start to get out of control they are expandable to stage 3 which goes up to 150lbs I believe.

I just worked out and noticed they only go up to 90lbs not 100, but they were about $700 with the stand here in Canada.

I bought a set last year so I didn't have to go to the local gym as often. I got the classic set with the 130 pound expansion pack. Best damn purchase I've ever made. Bought 'em new, cost me like seven bills. Also bought an adjustable bench, and all the other gear for a decent home gym, but the powerblocks are the jewel in the crown. I barely use a bar anymore. If you got the $, go for it. Of course, buying them used prolly means you don't get the 10-year warranty they come with.

Some people complain about the grip being awkward, but you get used to it, and I don't bust my hands anymore lifting 100+ pounds on one-armed dumbell rows cause the handle is smooth steel, nice and thick.

Sorry, made a mistake - handles are hard rubber. I was thinking of the two metallic bars that join the handles and each hold a 2.5 pound metal bar. Those are smooth metal.
Rubber grips are awesome - all dumbbell makers should adopt them as long as they make them durable enough that they don't start to peel.

I've got a classic 90lb set. I also got aluminum handles and plastic handles. Aluminums are 10 lbs, plastic 5 lbs so I adjust swap handles to adjust the weight.

Ive had a few sets through out the process of building my home gym. Best tool in my gym a side for my rack.

Keep an eye on Craig's list. A good deal is 300 or less for a 5-90 set. A fair price is 400.

I spent just over 200 bucks on my home gym by flipping stuff on CL, and my gym is complete with nice equipment. Thousands of dollars worth of equipment.
