Just starting out / Plan of attack
So to some it up quickly I am a fat sack of crap at the moment. I am 31 5'8 210lb last year I was in decently good shape ran quite a few 10k's avg 8 min miles (was probably around 180lb). Getting back at it and would like to work on building muscle etc this time. My plan of attack is to do something like the Insanity program to cut first, get in shape then work on bulking up. So basically cut the gut then build the muscle/start lifting. Does this sound like a good course of action? Again my end goal is not just to be fit but to bulk up and actually see muscles.
Anyway thanks for reading
Cheers,

Yeah definitely cut first and look into HIIT training and fasted cardio. Get the gurus in the nutrition section to look at your diet. Good luck!

So it has been 5 months since I have posted anything but that does not mean I have not been working towards my goals. I have had to tweak my workouts to fit into my life schedule but all in all I felt like I have made some progress. My weight is not dropping off like I thought it would im down to 185 from 213 back when I first posted I took a picture of when I started to now to track my progress. My weekly workout goes as follows.
Monday - 1 hour Jiu-Jitsu , Run 3.1 miles. arm/ shoulders workout
Tuesday - Run 3.1 miles / Yoga
Wed- 1 Hour Jiu-Jitsu , Run 3.1 miles / 40 min of Kettle bells
Thursday- Run 3.1 miles stomach / pull ups
Friday - 1 Hour Jiu- Jitsu, Run 3.1 miles
Sat- Kettle bells / Run 3.1 miles
Sun- Rest
My biggest issue is my diet while by no means is it terrible it could still be a lot better but I tend to get lazy on it and forget to buy certain items . anyway thanks for reading

Wow. That's amazing man. That is an impressive transformation!
Just a note: You had amazing results while admitting your diet could be better. Now, I'm sure it wasn't too bad, but I hope this motivates you to stick closer to your nutrition goals. Kind of scary that if you do, the transformation in five months could be even more shocking.
