Is it possible to lose bf, gain muscle and still maintain the same weight?

    Hey guys,

This question has been lingering in my mind for a while now. I know it is possible to lose bf and gain muscle at the same time, if u do everything correct and have a solid diet. my question is can u maintain the same weight and do so? in short a body re composition. The reason for staying in the same weight is becuz I am a competetive lifter and I want to be in the same weight.

Yes, it can be done. It would take a while to achieve goal, however. You'd just have to control the rate at which you lose the fat. Lb's of fat loss happens much faster than lb's of muscle gained. You would probably be mostly dependent on cardio.

Very possible, very tough. Like Austinite said use cardio as your tool of choice I tend to eat around maintanance and use cardio to dial in, recomping is a slow tedious process. Most will suggest to pick bulk or cut, but of course every person on the planet wants to do what you speak of. Good luck bro

On top of everything said above, other variables such as genetics, nutrition and pace & quality of recovery between workouts play an important role too. Let's also not forget the difference between being a natural and being chemically enhanced while striving for this goal.

this is actually very common for those newly on TRT. their weight remains the same, but become more muscular. Going to the gym helps speed it up.
