ideas for adding more weight on bench press
hey guys ive started this post to try to get some feedback on the bench press. i weigh 180 right now. my max is 265. im dying to hit 315. everything else is great for my weight. squat 550, dead 415 shoulder press 255 for 5 reps. but dammit man, my bench is way behind. been lifting for 5 years. tried alot of different things with minimal results. my pecs look great though, no complaints there. im just more focused on strength not looks as much. any feedback would be appreciated. for a while i flared my shoulders out and have been hitting my shoulders apperently, luckily no injuries though. i was deffinitely asking for it

I will give the pushups a try. I have also heard the theory of doing light rows in between sets to keep the lactic acid from building up in the shoulders.
