HIT questions
I've been working out very consistently for a couple of years and working on my diet (a seemingly never-ending task). I've gotten very interested in HIT recently and want to try to incorporate it in February when I will be starting a bulking cycle.
1. What is a good resource for more info on beginning / basic HIT workouts?
2. Any recommendations for HIT training with limited access to machines and without a spotter / training partner?
I live in a small town with a small gym and I haven't found anyone that will (a) train at 6:30 in the a.m. as my schedule dictates and (b) show up consistently after a wee or two.

Thanks, bass. You always have the answer. I searched "HIT" and got nothing.

I have access to most if not all of the equipment they use in Dorian Yates' videos while the vast majority of the machines Mike Mentzer uses (Nautilus) will never be available in my gym. I'm curious - Mike's technique requires really slow and very strict movement with a long isometric hold while Dorian's approach seems to allow momentum to come into play and less strict form. Any opinion on which promotes greater hypertrophy?

I'm working through the thread. I still have a couple of months to learn more before really implementing it completely. I'm currently doing similar movements, but with more sets and not to complete failure (usually). I really want to spend some time on my strength before just jumping in - you obviously need a solid base of strength to bring that kind of intensity without injury. Maybe I'm selling myself short, but i'm old enough to know better than to jump into anything without reflection and research.

...it took me damn near a year of consistent lifting to branch out from my old 5X5 power training an try some 8-12's. lol - it still ain't a leg workout without squats or deadlifts.
