Im in good shape. 6'2 215, down from 230 probably 15% BF train daily for years. Blood work is always good. Docs always compliment me on how good of shape I am in.
Eat clean 85% of time. As organic as possible.

Level 7 on the older model of Stairmill and level 11-12 on the newer ones.

When we hike, my Hr gets up to 200.

level 15 and speed something like a 3, if that makes any sense?

but you need to target YOUR age specific range.

for me, my age specific range is probably lower than yours

    max heart rate = 220-52=168

    50% = 84
    80% = 136

so 120 for me is in the sweet spot. my days of marathon running have been over since around the time you were born.

and by the way, my resting pulse rate was 62 yesterday before I gave blood. with a 135/82 BP

not bad for a sliver back.................?

Yes sir. Youve got a few on me. I hope I am still walking at 52. Just did legs and 3rd set of front squats with 265, HR was 180.? Was about that doing leg presses as well. I counted 192 after first set of walking lunges, 45lbs dbs 14 reps per leg.

180 is my target I guess, based on that formula.
Question: Is it detrimental to get up to and sustain 180 bpm for 30-40 mins.? I dont think so, but, Im no cardiologist.

^ second that. My fitness has been slowly declining since I stopped MMA and started bulking seriously, I'd have to work to get my heart rate to 150-160 and resting was around 60-65, now an easy warm up for 3-4 minutes and I'm hitting 150, and I catch my resting HR at 80 some days.

I purchased a BP/HR monitor from Costco. It was giving me wild results. Batteries were apparently low, and seemed to stabilize the readings. But now I don't trust it.

    Something to think about?

I walk my dog for cardio lately...corns on my feet make it almost impossible to run right now, but I still like mountain biking in the nice weather.

The tightness of the cuff will also affect your readings. Some ppl with larger arms require a larger cuff than standard.

No HR monitor, I just count beats in 15 seconds and multiply by 4. We hike at higher elevations 8-10 miles, steep grade. And we motor up the hill.

People were looking at me like I was crazy at Yosemite a few months ago. I charge it. Was at the Doc. yesterday, BP was 128/78 Pulse 74

Generally my HR is in the 135-165 range for most of my lifts except for back and legs. My HR monitor errors out on those days.

Definitely. If you're close to the index lines, it's usually about time to bump up in size.

I usually do 20 to 40 minutes first thing in the morning and before bed. 4 to 5 times a week, weekend sessions can go for hours.. As long as she is willing and have a steady flow of cialis in me I will keep up my on cardio.
