    triceps lagging..?

Not posted for a while, but finally back in to forums ? anyway getting to the point.. my triceps aren't growing like the rest of me! I think i was overdoing them before and not leaving enough rest between chest, shoulders and arms day. Current workout is

    Monday: chest
    Tuesday: Back
    Wednesday: off
    Thursday: shoulders
    Friday: legs
    Saturday: Arms
    Sunday: off

    Previous was

    Monday: chest
    Tuesday: Back
    Wednesday: shoulders
    Thursday: arms
    Friday: legs
    Saturday: off
    Sunday: off

I was doing about 20+ sets for triceps per week! Think it was having the opposite effect to what i was looking for. Now im doing 10 sets for triceps on arms day, 4 compound (close grip/weighted dips) and 6 isolation movements. The question is, would i benefit from throwing 3 sets of a tricep exercise in after chest? Or would you just leave them be until arm day comes around? Really want to get them growing! Thanks in advance guys

Try lowering rep range to 5-8 and increasing weight respectively.

Triceps after a chest workout, sure why not. You work out your triceps during the bench pressing movements so its not uncommon for people to throw in triceps at the end.

Perhaps try having a couple weeks without an arm day? Don't really need a day specifically for your arms since pretty much every push/pull movement has the arms involved so they will naturally be working.

your doing to many exercises and way to many reps. Pick 3 movements and do them properly to failure something like pushdowns, lying tricep extension and dips. No need to do them again if you do them right in the first place, also your tri's get hit with other bodyparts anyway.

X3. Big movements and heavy weight. But be careful and focus on proper technique to avoid injury.

I do this, usually tricep push downs, one arm dumbbell skullcrushers, and dips. I usually do 3 sets of each after my chest workout. Sometimes I will only do two sets each. Even doing that my tris are still one of the strongest and largest muscles in my body, almost too big proportionally, I am right on the edge.
