    Strange/Unusual Lifting/Training Techniques?

    What are some of the most unusual/unique training methods you've ever tried? It could be anything from training for a strong man comp to doing things that you thought may help you in your sport.

    The only ones I have would be from when I first started playing football. I would grab cinder blocks and see how far I could throw them in my back yard and I would also see how long I could grip them. Another thing I did was put my dads truck in neutral and push it around the yard. Now that is some good cardio!

    when i did track u i would try to throw 25lb plates liek a discus....

    it iddnt help

    I've done everything from lifting cars/pulling cars for strongman training, to sled dragging. I've done ket tossing as well.

    Once i saw a rail thin asian kid at golds doing something really strange.

    He grabbed two dip belts and the EZ curl bar. Loaded it up with as many 45's as he could, and strapped it to his waist at full chain length. He then proceeded to do what looked like about a dozen 4 inch ROM squats, making one hell of a racket. He was shown how to do proper squats, but chose to leave instead.

    I've seen chain belt squats with a different aperatus.

    Not 4 inch ones though.
