I respect the fact that it has 500hp, but i dont respect the fact that it took a roots blower to do it. GM has never had to blow any of their high-performance muscle cars to get the power they wanted. Id love to see a stock GM blown LS2 or something like that.

Hell, the new Z06 is 515hp, and no blower.

Why WOULDN'T you want a blower?

And you're right, GM has never used a blower (in high-performance platforms

).....

The GTP and it's Buick counterpart both have a roots blower...

The Cobalt SS has a blower....

Also, no, it's not a blower, but the Grand Nationals had turbo's...

Keep in mind, that GM has always relied on more cubic inch to make the power.... the prev. generation of Cobra's were 4.6L, while the Vette's/LS1's were 5.7L.......

Even the new Vette has a 6L in it.... still bigger than the new Cobra's 5.4L.....
