A 70 yr. old WOMAN showed me the "right" way to dead

So...I've only tried deadlifting once before today, and i was at the gym and I've been reading about how important deads/squats, etc are to boosting test.. anyways so i'm at the rack trying to get a feel for doing the deadlift with smaller weight...and this older lady comes up and starts talking to me about deadlifting. "I used to work out with these huge powerlifters who would deadlift so much weight that they would make their knees bleed, you have to get right up close to your legs" and she picks my bar up and showed me an excellent example of a dead lift. I'm thinking this lady is about 55 maximum..so i'm feelling pretty sad about myself, then she says "yea i'll be 70 this year"....

    :

I think this is funnier than Emasculating because this lady was badass haha, we had a nice conversation about GH too, which she is taking and works out like a 20 year old male and looks great.

yea haha it was really like ...inspiring and embarassing at the same time, she tried to be sly about giving me advice, but everyone else in the gym was turning their heads and watching her coach me on deadlifts...haha good times.

Old people need these exercises more than we do, they need the gH and test release more than us young ones, our levels are high their's are declining if they haven't already...

definitely...plus, the major movements contribute more towards fighting off osteoporosis, etc...

i would agree...but it seems the most bang for your buck to do compound movements (within reason of course, for safetey)

I agree completely. I would say squats and deads are by far the best for increasing bone density in the legs and vertebral column...

I'll be deadlifting till I die. Mondays for hammies and Wednesdays for low back. Funny, there is also a Spaniard (61 y/o) that goes to my gym and the mofo can still squat (full squat) 315. No hrt though.
