What is your ultimate dream job????
Just wanted to see what jobs you all stive for.
I guess you can say that I am one of the lucky ones and gets to work in my dream job. But if I wasn't able to do this job for some reason my dream job other then (firefighting) would have to be a fighter pilot or an astronaut.

High School Basketball coach....if money and (sadly) prestige wasn't an issue with me any longer, that's what I'd do for the rest of my life. But, after years of the "right" schools and the cash and hard work it took to get there, i'd feel like I was regressing if i did that. Kinda sad that I'd let that stand in the way of my dream job i guess.

Professional stunt driver .. getting paid to do crazy shit in vehicles would be freaking outstanding. Yes .. I know it seems a little childish, but it seems as though it were something that I was born to do, and I have many friends who agree. Even my girl (although she hates admitting it, because she feels the it "encourages" bad driving behavior) says I'd be damn good at it.

He he believe it or not, my dream job would be grade school teacher I love teaching kids (been a boy scout leader for 15+ years)
Jobs I'm doing now:
- Government purchaser (booooring but shiet does it pay well!)
- Teaching at the Fire College (command post material, super fun but part time... wish it were full time!)
Former jobs:
- Firefighting for 10+ years
- Post office (sorting parcels is SO boring, but also pays amazingly well unfortunately it was a temp job...)
- Court clerk (you wouldn't believe all the freaks we saw there!)
- Store detective (most depressing job... arresting flat broke moms stealing food to feed their kids... )

The best job in the world and my dream job is Hue Heffner's job at Playboy. Anyone care to argue that one?

But you do realize he worked HARD to get where he is (no no no, absolutely no puns intended!). If you've followed his bio, you'll see that he is to this day a total work-a-holic. In his beginnings, he used to literally sleep under his desk at work to make sure he met deadlines.
Folks who worked for him in the early days of playboy all say he was a slave driver (though he drove himself just as hard).
An impressive man!
ps: as a sidenote, one of my uncles has framed in his home office a nice little gold key with the playboy logo on it... they were the "membership" card to the Playboy clubs back in the swigning years.

i was well on my way to being an f/a-18 pilot, but my eyes turned out to be bad...=( i got neat pictures of me flying the real deal simulator on a naval base. its was crazy...i couldn't shoot missles and couldn't do various other things because a lot of the info was "classified"...=) it was powered by 6 computers the size of refigerators and had to have 2 people manning them while i flew the thing...

When I used to be a firefighter I spent many nights putting out fires in those bars who "forgot" to pay their protection.

Hmmm...that's a tuff one! But I guess I'd have to say, a goalie in the NHL for the Montreal Canadians or Toronto Maples Leafs.
But...more realisticly (actually possible) is being a cop and working for a special unit...like Narcotics, Murder/Homicide, Kidnapping, etc...
