How many hours/day do you sleep on average?
I saw a thread in the workout section relating to this, so I thought I'd get everyone's input.

usually about 6 or 7. not very restfull sleep while i am on though. i guess i am a vampire because i can hardly fall asleep at night no matter what time i lay down, its 4-5 am before i can fall asleep.

Now I feel better about only getting 7 hours of sleep each night. I thought I was the only one.

I'm definitely a night person. I have to make myself lay down and go to sleep around 1am and I get up at 6am.... So, I average 5 hours of sleep a night during the week.
Now, the weekends are a different story.... I actually get LESS sleep believe it or not.....

WoW! Now I don't feel so alone on this one. I never sleep it seems. 4-6 hours on average(tossing and turning mind you).
It seems i allways have so much on my mind. I wish i could change that.

I've noticed alot as of late that I'm lucky if i can get 5-6hrs per night, and as a few others have commented, its not the most restfull sleep, especially if I have something on my mind.

I get an hour of good rest after my post workout meal. During the night I wake up every F*c*ing hour on the hour. Don't know why.

i had a long haul of insomnia at the end of last year all the way up to two months ago. it was by far the worst thing that ever happened to me -- everything felt so surreal, reality seemed like one big haze. i would just sit up and watch television from 12am-9am then get dressed and try and have a normal day. after a dozen different medications, i just bounced back with the end result of not needing medicine. i feel like i have yet to totally catch up on lost time and I sleep 12 hours a night on average.

I am overwhelmed with happiness if I get more than 5 hours per night. By the time I get home from the hospital, go over my patient notes, go to the gym and then complete my "Honey to do" list that my wife has compiled, I am running to get into bed at night..Over the years I have just become accustomed to it..

Hell I average 3-6 hours of sleep. For some reason I can't sleep any longer than that. I'm constantly exuasted though at the end of the day. I swear if I sit still onger than 5 minutes it's lights out!

Generally six hours each night but sometimes it's less. It does not matter what time I go to bed, six hours later I'm wide awake.
