I generally prefer Rock (but do like more)... There's a song that has been playing for a while in the gym that I am so damn sick of...it has a bunch of kids singing in the background...it says something like "you can be what you want to be"...I want them to stop! I'm taking my MP3 player from now on...like I should have been doing all along.

For me,it has to be something intense with lots of blastbeats,so its gotta be deathmetal.I usually listen to suffocation, deicide, cannibal corpse, innolation, morbid angel..or newer stuff like slipknot..whats the point of something thats going to relax you?? arent you suppossed to get amped up????

No ghetto trash..no Pickle-licker dico/house/techno...just Rock!! Luckily the mgr. at the gym where I train is older than 16 so there is not any rap/r-n-b..younger than 50 so there is not any disco either. It is nice to walk into a weigth room and hear the Rollins Band, Godsmack or Alice in Chains just blarring!!
