Diet Critique please
5'8 200lbs need to lose weight and fat.
please help me with the diet.
Daily Menu
1 hour fasted cardio @ 70% MHR- I do this daily
6:30 am
8 egg whites
9:30 am
Protein shake w/ 1 tbsp. flax
12:30 pm
1 can tuna w/mayo
lettuce wrap
3:30 pm
Protein Shake w/flax
6:30 pm
8 oz Chicken
2 cup green veggies

You don't want protein by itself. You don't want your body just digesting protein, make it a pro/fat meal. What time do you normally go to bed?

should i add flax...usually go to bed by 10-10:30

Defiantely add flax bro. Also eat maybe half a cup of cottage cheese RIGHT before bed, it will help fight off catabolism while you sleep.

so could i just eat cottage cheese instead of the protien shake before bed??

I meant cottage cheese ontop of that shake. Keep the shake/flax at 8, and cottage cheese at 10:30 or so.

i think a protein shake by itself is fine IMO. On my off days the last meal of my day before bed is just a protein shake. He could opt for cassinate protein and not whey, I think that would be a better option than cottage cheese.

protein by itself all depends on meal timing. Nothing at all wrong with just a protein shake.

Maybe so if you had eaten say a big pro/carb meal an hour or so before, and then had just a protein shake. Assuming they are low gi the carbs should still be there after the whey since the whey is fast acting. But if every 3 hours you had protein by itself...or even just a protein shake by itself back to back meals...that could be detremental
