25 tbsp. of dex?
I know in PWO you're supposed to take dextrose in 2:1 dex to protein. So if I'm taking 50 g of protein I need 100 g of dextrose, right? OK the dextrose I bought from the company NOW has 4 g per serving of 1 tbsp. So to get 100 g I need 25 tbsp?
Is this right?

yeah, sounds right. the dex i have works out to be right about 2/3 of a cup for 100g's. sounds like a lot, but you get used to it. now, i can't hardly drink whey without it.

So, you guys are telling me that 2/3 of a cup would be 100 g of dextrose?
Also, I know I'm dumb but how many teaspoons = a tablespoon?Last edited by Aggression; 10-12-2004 at 01:48 PM.

Dextrose is dextrose... They're all the same. 4 g per tsp.

my dex is made by Now Foods. it's 4g per serving which is 4g of carbs at 1.25tsp. the dex that Kent sells is 11g per serving, but it's only 10g of carbs (don't know what the other g is) see label here: http://kentnutrition.ihoststudio.com/dexfac.html the dex at true protein.com has 50g's in a 70cc scoop. http://trueprotein.com/store/comersu...p?idProduct=78 that means that 100g's is 28.4 tsp or 9.46tbsp. so i wouldn't say that all dex is created equal, but it's close enough that you could just do 10tbsp and be close enough IMO.

I use NOW dextrose as well. I was incorrect in my last post. The label on my NOW dext says: 1.25 tsp = 4g carbs

25 TEASPOONS is about 100g, 25 TABLESPOONS is about 300 g, so 10 TBSP is about 120g
