    Bulking question???

I have been trying to bulk up for about 6 months now i started out at 2700 cals and dident gain any weight so i upped it to 3000 for a couple months with no results, then 3200 for 2 weeks and the scale dident move. now for the last 2 weeks i have been at 3500 and have gained 2.5lbs in this time. should i stay at 3500 for a couple more weeks or lower it a bit? i am currently 6' 168.5 lbs my macros is roughly around 350c, 130f, 250p.

Keep it at that until you start stalling again, then up it. Assuming you're wanting to gain quite a bit more weight being 6foot.

Without being on drugs 1.25 lbs per week seems a bit high to me. Part of this depends on how long uve been lifting too.

If I were you I'd drop my cals down and go slow man... otherwise ur just gonna get fat.

Muscle building, real actual lean mass is a slow process. It's not like cutting body fat where u can drop a pound per week. Esp when ur not on any drugs.

If uve been gaining 1.25lbs per week at 3500 cals I'd drop to 3000, and go really slow adding cals. Try to focus on getting stronger.

How long have u been lifting and dieting?

Also what does ur workout program look like?

OP already stated he ran 3k for months with no change, and even 3200 with no change. No sense in going back down to that.
1.25lbs per week is higher end, but not so much on someone who is 6 foot and in the 160s.
You wont keep gaining that quickly as the weeks progress. My advice stands, stick with the 3500 (especially if its only 300cal over the 3200 that you were previously doing to no success) and re-evaluate in a few weeks.

I prefer being patient. I get he said he wasn't gaining, but there could be other variables at play such as recomping that might account for the stagnant scale weight. That's why I asked how long he'd been training and what his routine looked like..

OP, just keep good track of ur progress by pics and measurements. If u notice your waist seems to be growing faster than ur chest, legs, arms, etc... u mite wanna back off the cals a bit. This should be a lifestyle and u have plenty of time.

looks like i will continue at 3500 for a couple more weeks and if im still gaining 1.25lbs a week i will drop 2-300 cals.
