Bulking Question(s)/Need advice Please!
Ok guys, this is the deal. Im on the quest for mass, (who isnt?) and I wanted to make sure that my diet covers the needs for my lifestyle.
Here we go: stats are 6'2". 214 pounds. 15% bodyfat. Lifting 3 years.
My diet in no particualr order. (Except the shakes are usually morning and post workout)
Protien Shake (home made)=600 cals
7 egg whites =100 cals
2 slices whole w/toast =140
11/2 cups oatmeal = 145
2 chicken breats = 280
2 potatoes (medium/large) = 400
2 cans of tuna =260
1 cup pasta =300
Protien shake = 600
Big Herb Cookie (awsome) = 900
---------------------------------
Total calories 3725 cals
Some days, when I have time I throw in some salmon/ sole fish with rice
Other than training and some cardio, my day is spent being completetly inactive. My weight is going up on all my lifts, which is good but I wanted to make sure that at my height and current weight, am I taking in enough calories and soes my diet look alright in terms of the foods Im eating? Any suggestions will be taken into consideration.
One more quick quesiton, is it possible to gain wieght (as in fat) and automatically assume that you are taking in enough calories for muscle growth? Or can someone get fat without gaining lean muscle mass, (while training, of coarse)?
Thanks bros, always appreciated.Last edited by Eating_Machine; 11-20-2003 at 02:04 PM.

you are only posting half your diet info... I need to see how much protein fat and carbs you are getting... calories alone are meaningless... I would also like to see what the times of your meals are... when you eat is as important as what you eat...
Here's what my bulking diet looks like... it works (for me!)

I knew someone was gonna ask about the cookie! lol
Some guy around town makes them. Hes a huge german bastard and he makes them huge! It takes me an 1.2 hour to eat one (their dry as hell).
Eash one has between 800-900 calories and it has hazel nuts ,choclate chips, whey, oatmeal, etc comes out to 30 grams protien, over 100 grams carbs, Im not sure about the fat though.
My shake is consisted of, whey protien, a few eggs, 1 tablspoon peanut butter, 1/2 cup ice cream, milk, and a banana.
Thanks for your inout bro. You obviuosly know about dieting and i am thankful for your reply.
My protien intake is over 200 grams. I gotta figure out the carbs and fat though. I'll get back to ya.
Thanks again.Last edited by Eating_Machine; 11-20-2003 at 02:08 PM.

Your protein intake should be a minimum of 400g, but I'd up it to 500g.
