    Testosterone Repla***ent Therapy

I started working out and running about three years ago to loose weight. I had success in doing so but never was able to drop all the fat I wanted, especially above my hips and around my nipples. Fast forward two years, three marathons, and 50# later, still fighting that fat deposition and have developed fatigue, depression, ect. Physical two weeks ago and blood work came back with terrible t levels. 37 to be exact. So my Dr started me on t 200 biweekly

Due to my higher than desired body fat I am concerned about conversion. I am assuming I should look at trying to get on an inhibitor but would like the groups feedback on that as well as diet and exercise advice.

I lift in a four day split and run around 20 miles per week on average. That is tapering up as I am preparing for a half marathon in Las Vegas in De***ber and a full in Phoenix in January.

Maybe you are not eating enough calories !!! That is one of many peoples problems, as when you dont get enough inside you When you do eat it will store as fat as the body thinks you are going to starve it. Never let yourself get hungry .. eat smaller more frequent meals .

And perhaps split your dose up into 100mg weekly to keep it more stable . That will help heaps.

Thanks for the tips. I will be following my diet closer on myfitnesspal. At my weight and with my workout schedule how many calories a day? I do limit myself to around 2000.

I will make that switch in half doses weekly. Thanks.

And by the way, here is why I started TRT. I have been through an ultrasound, which came back clean and will have my prolactin test done at my next blood draw to see if there are pituitary issues, or if I am just suffering from hypogonadism.

    Component
    Your Value
    Standard Range
    Units

    Sex Hormone Binding Globulin
    8
    11 - 80
    nmol/L

    Testosterone , Adult Male
    37
    300 - 1080
    ng/dL

    Test Information: Testosterone, Adult Male
To convert to nmol/L, multiply ng/dL by 0.0347.

    Testosterone, Free Calculation
    10
    47 - 244
    pg/mL

    REFERENCE INTERVAL: Testosterone, Free
    Tanner Stage IV 35 - 169 pg/mL
    Tanner Stage V 41 - 239 pg/mL
To convert to pmol/L, multiply pg/mL by 3.47.
The concentration of Free Testosterone is derived from a
mathematical expression based on the constant for the
binding of testosterone to sex hormone binding globulin.

You win for lowest T level I've seen on here! Agree with DD that you aren't eating enough for your activity level. Timing of your nutrients is also important. As stated, head to the nutrition forum for more help. Good luck.

And to apologize upfront, I am sorry I am asking questions before I have had a chance to read as much as I need too. Unfortunately, I have already started therapy before I had a chance to educate myself, so I need to try to get as many answers as I can before I end up with tits bigger than my wifes.

The Katch-McArdle formula applies equally to men and women As Follows:

    BMR = 370 + (21.6 X lean mass in kg)

    BMR Example
    You are female
You weigh 140 pounds (63.6 kilos)
Your body fat percentage is 25 percent (35 pounds fat, 105 lean)
Your lean mass is 105 pounds (47.7 kilos)
    Your BMR = 370 + (21.6 X 47.7) = 1400 calories

To determine your total daily calorie needs, now multiply your BMR by the appropriate activity factor, as follows:

If you are Sedentary - little or no exercise
    Calorie-Calculation = BMR X 1.2
If you are Lightly Active (light exercise/sports 1-3 days/week)
    Calorie-Calculation = BMR X 1.375
If you are Moderately Active (moderate exercise/sports 3-5 days/week)
    Calorie-Calculation = BMR X 1.55
    If you are Very Active = BMR X 1.725 (hard exercise/sports 6-7 days/week)
    Calorie-Calculation = BMR X 1.725
If you are Extra Active (very hard daily exercise/sports & physical job or 2X day training)
    Calorie-Calculation = BMR X 1.9

this should help u calculate ur tdee.. but u need to go to the nutrition section
