44 and thinking of lifting seriously
This was taken on my 44th birthday
I currently lift on average 2 times a week as a supplement to my Karate
Thinking of taking lifting a bit more serious, weight about 220 at the moment.
At 44 should I be looking at putting on much more or cutting up more??
Cheers.

Very impresive for 44. I would play with your diet and training to see the results you are looking for. If you want to grow you will have to up your calories and be in the gym a couple more days during the week. Post your training routine and diet so we can critique.

What are you goals? Do you plan on continuing with your karate? How many days could you reserve for lifting?

right on, I say just keep doing what you're doing. You look great and if you put on more muscle it could affect your range of motion for Karate.

thanks for the support guys ... and girls
Have taken this week off lifting and started to load up on creatine.
As of next week I am going to go on a 3 day split - push pull legs, adding legs on Saturday.
I have decided my next goal will be to try and get stronger. Lost a lot of strength after 2 major bicep tears over recent years.
I only bench 245 x 8
squat 265 x 8
dead lift 305 x 8
Going to up the food intake a little bit, mainly more protein, getting carbs from creatine mix.
HGH and Test is tempting and seriously considering that as a 45th birthday present...
Lets see how I look at Christmas 13 weeks this Sunday!
