    Hives

Last night I started topamax 50mg and B12 1000mcg injections. About 4 hours after taking/injecting I had massive hives all over my arms and legs and went to the ER. Unfortunately I cannot determine which caused the reaction because it was my first dose of each and I took both at 8:30pm...

Any thoughts on which is the more likely suspect?

Damn! That sucks. I'm not sure which might have been the culprit, but I'd lean toward the B12. If it was the red stuff that is Cyanocobalamin. One of the side effects listed is hives as an allergic reaction to the preservatives in the mix.

What did the doc say? Did you tell him exactly what you took?

Durak, WTF! Sorry to hear this, bud. Seems you've had some recent troubles with stuff. You had something the other week that made your hands swell, now this.

Most definitely sounds like an allergy reaction, and a good chance it was the B12. Damn!
