    Test Gel Ups a& Downs

My PCP put me on Fortesta Test Gel three weeks ago and I am getting ready for my first post TRT appointment with BW. I have had so many positive effects from it and my wife says I'm like a new man. So everything has been going very well except for a mid day crash. I recently got a desk job, so I can attribute some of that tiredness to that, but I wasn't sure if I could be crashing from the gel a bit. I usually apply it at 6 am and I feel great until about 2:30-4 pm. Is this something that will level out over time or should I consider switching to injections? The most irritating part is applying the gel then having to wait for it to dry, which in my case, it is still a little oily 10- 15 minutes later when I put my clothes on., so I'm not sure how much Test my body is absorbing vs. rubbing off on my clothes. Should I consider switching to IM shots?
I am applying 4 10mg pumps (two per inner thigh). How much is actually getting in my BS? What would be the equivalent for IM Test shots?

I switched from gel to shots because shots you get a lot more bang for your bucks, less expensive lot more test and i inject once a week in the glute area.

Like you i did not like applying the gel every morning before going to work, at first its kind of cool, but everyday its gets tiring. I used the gel for a month with limited effect, now i am 2 shots off 250ml test E, and very new to TRT myself.

I will post back results after a month of so on injection.

Did you see where your Test levels were at after the month of gel? How often do you take 250ml shot?

Gels, shots. It's personal preference. I'm still on gels with great results. Maybe one day I will switch to shots but I don't look forward to sticking myself for 30 yrs (hopefully). You might want to switch to Androgel 1.62%. You apply to your upper arms and shoulders and it's dry by the time you brush your teeth and comb your hair. Very quick, not sticky, no odor. I have great T levels on it.

I don't see a correlation between getting tired in the afternoon and the gel application at this time, but I'm not familiar with Fortesta. Hell, most people seem to get tired around then. After lunch, no caffeine, etc.....Post your BW when you get it please.

I did get a kick of energy when applying gel myself androgel , and less crashing in the after noon.

As kelkel says to each is own, some prefer gel, i switched to injections, i inject once a week for now 250ml per 10 days.

I don't only want to boost test level, i want to repair the body like i said. I don't know what my T level where after a month of use, before TRT i was 264 so below 300 and below normal range for a 39 year old.

My medical doctor will walk me true all of this, when i need to get a blood test for iron, anemia and t level probably in the next month or 2, i am on Test E for 6 months and glad to take it too.

I don't mind injections, to be honest i was nervous for nothing, i feel nothing when injecting in my glutes, maybe i got more fat than other people, its a small sting then everything goes in easy.

Three weeks isn't a long enough time to make a judgement on the gel. At the very least you need some bloodwork to do that. I think a desk job after lunch is asking to be sleepy...been happening to me for many years now.

I have never used Fortesta, but Androgel dries quickly, doesn't smell. Applying it every morning is no big deal to me. Hoping my 1.62% Androgel is at my doorstep when I get home tonight (mail order pharm).

Wait on your next bloodwork and make a decision with your doctor. If you are one of the guys that doesn't absorb the gel very well, then transition over to the injections.

i'd look to the diet as causing a mid day crash.. protein and slow carbs for lunch is the key to not crashing..

Im starting to get pissed with my PCP holding out on my blood test results!! I signed the release of information form and faxed it back to them a few days ago and still haven't gotten anything. I have
sent several e-mails stating this as well...because I would really like to get the input of this forum before my appointment on the 15th. Theres no doubt that my body is responding very well to the gel,
but its more or less the time it takes to lather and let dry. I remember when I was pinning test cyp 10 years ago, 22 gauge in the shoulders didn't bother me so I'm sure I'd be ok with it now. Ill post
my labs when I get them........I didn't even think about diet, but your totally right. "protein and slow carbs for lunch is the key to not crashing.." I'll give that a try.
    Thanks
