LAte night protein blends are great....if you have money to waste. IF not, cottage cheese is the cheapest way to go.

I like EXTREME SMOOTHIES ready mix protein shake by VHT. IMO that they taste awesome. They have 35g of protein and have only 2g of carbs, and thats why I like them as a late nite shake.

Any time-released protein. No need to go with the supplements titled "Nighttime." They usually charge more just b/c of that.

BEST PREBED MEAL EVER, PERIOD
I wake up full sometimes...
Version 1.0, 2 separate parts
1. 1 cup fat free cottage cheese
2. 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter
(mix ingredients 1 and 2 in a bowl... MM-MM GOOD)
3. 1 scoop whey isolate
4. 1 serving psyllium husk fiber
(mix 3 and 4 in a shaker with water)
Version 2.0 1 shake
1. 1/2 cup fat free cottage cheese
2. 2 tablespoons natty PB
3. 1 scoop chocolate whey isolate
4. 1/2-1 scoop chocolate micellar casein (the best kind, kids)
5. 4 oz water (chilled, preferrably)
6. 4-5 ice cubes
place ingredients 5, 6, 1, and 2 in blender, in that order. Turn on low, working your way up to highest power, until ice is completely ground. Pour in ingredients 3 and 4, blend for 2-3 more seconds, or until powder is mixed. Serve immediately... ENJOY!!!
That'll ward off catabolism like a nasty mofo.
getcha around 55g of protein (not including the PB, as it isnt complete protein)
18g of fat, healthy, 21 if you toss in 3 fish oil caps (like you should be with every meal)
less than 15g of carbs (10 or so if you use version 2.0)
and 7-10 grams of digestion slowing fiber, for sustained release of aminosLast edited by fishorcutbait; 11-26-2005 at 02:14 AM.
