    Upper Chest- Neck Press?

Hey Everyone, im new to the website but im not new to working out. Anyways lets get down to it.

My chest has always seemed to lag, no matter what i do it just doesnt develop very nicely. But mainly im having some problems developing my upper chest the most. Yes i do incline(DB and BB) but it still is lagging. Ive read on a few websites about something called the neck press. Its not the easiest excercise to find information on so i was wondering if any of yall know much about it or have any experience w/ this particular excercise? Any information would be great.

My upper chest has been lacking as well. Starting this week, on my second chest day of the week, I'm going to do all incline movemtns. Incline db, incline flys, with maybe inlcine close grip...just an idea for you as well....

It's like regular bench, only instead of bringing the bar down to your chest, you bring it down to your neck. I've never tried it.

Never heard of that excercise before. Sounds like you need to add overall mass in the chest. Got some stats? How long have you been training and what does your chest routine look like?

Routine looks pretty good. How about your form??
Try one workout, with lighter weight and do this:
Keep your shoulder blades squeezed together to really isolate the pecs. Really try to envision the pecs coming together and contracting like two planets colliding. The chest should be up and out and your shoulders back. It might be a form/focus/weight/ego/mind muscle connection problem.

Have you tried going up in weight and lower on reps? I got much better gains when I went from 10 to 6 reps. Make sure you really blast your pecs and when the bar is at the top, flex like your trying to pull your fists together. Are you going to complete failure on your chest workouts? I know it can be herd to do if you don't have a spotter, but it could be whats holding you back.

Flat bench...prone to throat... also known as the 'throat prone'

I believe that is what you're inquiring about

I posted a description of it somewhere on AR lemme look for it

hey nark, when you say lying the other way and for a friend to help you raise the bar since its an unnatural position, is the position of ur head anywhere near the bar or does your friend completely have to lift the bar and sort of hand it to you? I'm confused as to the position, ricky posted a link taht shows this but it seems different than what you described in your link...can you eloborate a little....thanks
