Every time I see a thread like this on AR it sorta bugs me cuz people are way too 1 sided. I am 100% Syrian. I am Orthodox. I was born there but came over here when I was 5 years old so its been about 16, almost 17 years. I actually went back for the 1st time last summer cuz I was interested in how things were over there. I dont know about the rest of the Middle East but I know in Syria people LOVE America. Americans are treated like kings and queens there, mostly cuz they have money to spend while they are there. I just dont want all you guys on this site making a statement that summarized ALL people cuz everyone knows that is untrue. Believe me, I am just as pissed off about all that bullsh*t going on with people being killed over there. My best friend is in the Navy and he has been there for almost 2 years now, on and off. I dont really know why I am typing this but I just get sorta bothered by comments about nuking the middle east...people have to understand its not EVERYONE there. Like I said above, its horrible that those terrorist even say they are Muslim because all they are doing is using it as justification for their barbaric actions. Islam, for the most part, is a peaceful religion. I, myself am Orthodox which is basically Catholic just with a few different beliefs but I have worked with many Muslims and most of them were so nice. And most of the Muslims I was around are from Yeman which is seen as a terrorist country. It just sucks that those pansy ass terrorists make such a bad name for the Middle East. If you ask anyone, Beirut in the 1970's and real early 1980's was gorgeous. It was becoming the Paris of the Middle East but due to all the stupid actions that took place there its nothing like it once was...
