Offensive avatars are also another subject that are going to be debated.

Can't tell you how stupid it is to see thongs as avatars in over 50% of board members.

It's ridiculous and juvenile. If you like porn/sluts/etc., then that's fine, store it on your cpu and whack off to your heart's content. How they are applicable on a FITNESS board, is news to me.

Everything has the potential to offend somebody. That thread about hunting ferrets might have bothered a vegan...I guess my point is that this is the internet and not real life. ITs a board that anyone can up for and push the limits. There are alot of weird individuals in society, and the anonomity of the internet is definetely not the arena to try to police those type of individuals. In real life I would be the first to stop someone if i thought they were sayign something offensive...but the internet is a completely different story. Yes it would be nice for folk to apply real life people skills on this boardand not lye about pics or other sh it but I don't think scolding them oin this board is gonna help the underlying issue of why a 35 year old virgin who lives with his moms feel the need to put a female of a thong in his avatar.

I believe there is an option for this in your user control panel settings. But if not, you can have your browser ignore pics. For instance if you are using Internet Explorer for your web browser, pull down the TOOLS menu. Click the INTERNET OPTIONS item and then a dialog pops up. Click the ADVANCED tab. Scroll down to the MULTIMEDIA section. Uncheck the SHOW PICTURES item. Close, close your browser, then restart it. Pics should not show, including avatars on the forums. You will instead see a little blank box where the pics would be. You can click it if you want to see the pic after all or just go back into the menu and re-check "SHOW PICTURES".
