underaged kids on the board
i'm starting to see more and more 16-17 year olds on the board. I know a lot of people are really against this, however, i am not totally against it. Yes, i believe that they should not be allowed into the steroid forum. But, I as well as many of you i'm sure wish that you had the dieting and work out knowledge when you were that age instead of having to wait til your 20's to really get a good base. i was fat and worthless in high school cause i didnt know how to eat right and train correctly......maybe its just me but i dont think they should be flamed as much as they are.

I think maybe both sides have a good argument here. For me I'd have to agree that kids should not be allowed to use this board, cos like CARLOS said, wat about mom and dad ? Unless there is some sort of agreement process between the parent and the board. But that would be impossible to know weather it was the parents agreement or just a kid pretending to be the parent

Just to throw in my .02 when I was underage not too long ago I just lurked here. I gotta agree with the current rules here for carlos' reason, but in my situation I was going to the gym and really didn't have a clue what I was doing. I looked around here, found out I didn't know what I was doing, and now know a little little bit of what I'm doing . Some of the medical terms and more technical stuff still go over my head from time to time but I know a HELL of alot more before I found this board.

So how do you keep underaged kids from (gasp!) SAYING that they are grownups? I might only be 14, for all anybody here knows. That said, yeah, the official and stated policy should be NO MINORS for the reasons already stated in other posts.
That doesn't mean that I don't think kids should be educated about AAS. Curious kids will seek out information anyway... often from the wrong source. They will experiment, given the opportunity because they don't know any better. They should be made very clear on why kids in particular should not mess with gear until they are physically fully adults and have a solid background of precise and intense training behind them. There should be a forum for them to discuss questions they have about gear with knowledgeable folks.

Was this all because of Hoss?

thats true, i never really thought about other straight bodybuilding sites.....however, like it was also stated, ppl could just be lying about there age, and i'm sure a lot of ppl on here are........its to bad that there are parents like that, that will be quick to blame the site, and not the kid but that is how it goes because this site has a lot of good info that could still help.

this is an excellent site and the Policy should stand. The issue of AS is as hot as it has ever been. NO negative or unwanted attention should be drawn towards this board.
One of the hottest is underage kids using AS which I agree with.

It's ridiculous and juvenile. If you like porn/sluts/etc., then that's fine, store it on your cpu and whack off to your heart's content. How they are applicable on a FITNESS board, is news to me.
Just my thoughts on the issue, nothing more.

along with what carlos said, it is fine for anyone to view the sight as a guest, so they can get whatever knowledge they need without being a member

At the same time it doesn't really bother me though.

I like attractive females as much as the next guy, yes. However, I believe there is a time/place for everything.
Like I said, these are only my thoughts on the matter, I am not saying I am "right" in any way/shape/form.
In addition, half of the thonged avatars have faces that look like half horse/half man!

i guess i'd go with allowing underaged kids IF they act maturely.
i was under 18 not too long ago too. i asked about under 18s and AS usage.
if it wasn't be on this board, i'd be in my 2nd cycle right now WITHOUT PCT.
this is a good learning place, i learnt from it and i feel others shouldn't be robbed of this great opportunity.

Yeah Bouncer, I agree. My son saw one of those pics while he walked into my office and said, "ohhh, mamacita!! She has a thong on!!!!!"
He's 5.
I totally understand about people not using their common sense, and I also realize how hard it is to regulate the usage of such juvenile displays.

I also turn off the images at work for obvious reasons...
As for teens on this board, it's simlpy not their place. The liability issues for the board owners alone is pretty scary.

Messy, your's is different. It's a woman, but it's not a woman's ass with a thong.
It just seems like all you see is asses w/thongs, it's like some kind of cult fetish thing.
Your's is original, which is more than I can say for a host of others.

When I took my laptop home for thanksgiving and my younger sister used my laptop, i was much more concerned about her giving me the eye reading a steriod site ( even though I haven't used them...yet lol) than a girls avatar of a smut in a thong...

Oh, well it may surprise you that I come here to educate/inform about nutritional practices.
Just because the diet forum is housed at "Steroid .com", does not mean there are no other forums w/different subject matter that is totally legal. Literally every fitness board on the Net discusses drugs at some location on the said board.
I see no "ugly ass thong chick pics" forums here ye old advocate of the devil.
My point is not who views this site, it's the thought processes of those who utilize such avatars on a fitness site, w/many sub-forums, none of which have anything to do w/the discussion or creation of ass floss.

not saying that every topic here is illegal...but the mission statement for the board is the education of an illegal substance.
I just don't see anything wrong with people having avatars of scantilly (sp) clad women. Since your point isnt who views the site and we're not concerned with children, younger nieces, nephews etc ...We are all over 18 so is a female in a thong such a huge issue? There are topics on the site that talk about sex (pretty explicitily too) violence and not to mention people cursing like pirates amongst other thing that have the potential to offend somebody out there that really just wanted to have their question answered about a good cheap whey protein. I guess I just feel that avatars are such a small issue on this board.

We have a difference of opinion on the matter, that is all this is, and that is fine. Nothing beneficial will come out of us going back/forth as to what we feel is "right/wrong", etc. So, I'll leave this where it is, it's totally fine w/me.
The issue I have w/it is that it has nothing to do w/fitness, and when there are like 90 avatars w/thong pictures, it displays NO individuality/character at first glance, something that is vital/crucial (at least to me where reputation matters and I care what people think of me) if you wish to set yourself apart as offering something special.
Now, if one has nothing special to offer, then ass-floss away.
I just think it lacks taste/character/tact, but that is only my opinion, and like I said we each have our own opinion, and that is totally fine.
The old saying goes, "opinions are like assholes, everybody has one".
