I think the silverback would take him out. They weight as much as 1000 pounds and move very fast.

I say bear too. Silver Backs are herbavors, not hunters.

The bear would win without a doubt, especially if it was a grizzly and not just a kodiak. One of the most powerful animals on the face of the earth. They weigh up to 1500 lbs! Razor sharp claws and teeth! Powerful special moves like the bear hug! Come on!

grizzlies and kodiaks are actually both brown bears. kodiaks are bigger and more docile (and generally live near plentiful sources of food. whereas grizzlies are meaner, more solitary, smaller, and tend to live inland. i think a kodiak would kick a grizzly's ass but the grizzly is much more likely to attack a person.

    Silver Back Gorilla:
Males: Up to 6 feet tall, standing. Females: Up to 5 feet tall.
Weight: Males: 350 pounds. Females: 215 pounds.
    Predators: Predominantly humans. Occasionally leopards.

My money is on the guy who is roughly 4.29 times bigger, armed with razor sharp claws, a nasty set of teeth and can run at over 40 miles per hour for distance. Oh, and he does not occaisionaly get eaten by a fuking thing except well armed humans.

    ok ok for example

Only way that would be a similar matchup is if Bob sapp was 8'6" tall and weighed 913 lbs-not 350. Oh, and it would have to be primarily muscle and bone. Oh, he would also have to be faster meaner, and a better fighter. Then it would be about the same as Kodiak VS Gorilla. Fight might just turn out differently

OK, just watched that video-sad. Is it just me or was Sapp winded before the fight even started?

One thing that has always helped me personally win fights is to understand one thing. If you fought someone everyday for 100 days. Even if you are fighting a total wuss, he may beat you one or two days out of the 100 if he picks up a rock or something and hits you in the face. What I am trying to say is, even if you think you know who would win, fights are totally spontaneous and anyone can essentially beat anyone else given the right circumstances. I am sure if you could watch a bear and gorrilla fight one would win once and the other would win some too. It would just depend on the circumstances of the specific fight. They both possess the tools to kill the other.

Some more pics. Kodiak bears are huge, bigger then a normal grizzy bear.

I would agree with you in almost all cases-but this one. I mean to put it in perspective, I at 200 hundred pounds would have to fight a man who weighed 858 lbs. He would be much faster than me, most don't realize that a griz/Kodiak can run for distance at 40mph plus, which is nearly twice as fast as the fastest 100 meter sprinter ever. And even if you gave me a 50 point IQ advantage, he comes to the fight with a couple of blades(teeth and claws)that I in no way can take away and use against him.

Don't know why I give a flying fuk though-I don't suppose they'll ever match up in nature and I would never watch a match created by some asshole promoter. Lame but entertaining post~

That pic is actually not a photoshop but it's good camera work. They have more pics of that hunter and the bear and the bear is about half the size in pictures where it is down to scale.

That fight was gold but I think a bear has slightly more endurance than Bob Sapp! What would be a better thread is a Gorilla versus Bob Sapp.

A silver back would take down the kodiak with a double-leg takedown, spin it over, get it's back and tap him out with a choke. If Herb Dean was the ref, the fight would be over as soon as one of them moved.

Then, the silver back would jump on a tree branch surrounding the octagon shaped fighting area and start beating his chest, talking $hit, and giving the Kodiak the finger.

No this was a unique bear. It killed several huners that were trying to kill it. That bear took several gun shots and killing various people in its rampage. I have photos of individuals killed along the path that are too gruesom for this site.
