I think gorillas are stronger pound for pound. Also they are more agile IMO.

i dont know enough about eiter to give you an objective answer. I think the location of the encounter would probably have an effect on the outcome as much as anything.

I would think a gorilla since they are much more of a fighter

guys are nutz - a grizzly can be meaner than a snake and can kill a full grown african lion in a few minutes - and they used to do just that by putting them both in a cage with betting - even been known to kill tigers! grizzly would whack that ape one and thats about all it would take - as for the gorilla - where is he going to hit the bear that is going to hut him - he cant break its neck, can bite it but there is a thiiiiiick hide.
Grizzly Bear
weight: 1,500 lb can get up to a ton!
forearm length 5 feet long
weapons: 42 teeth "including back mollars for bone crushing"
20 sharp claws. "front ones are 9 inch long " dull but deadly"
Jaw pressure per sqaure inch: 4,150 lb
"shoulder hump" for extra strength & Power
speacial skills: has the Worlds "hardest Punch"
is the worlds "best Sumo wreseler"
can throw multiple strikers at a time
quick explosive fighter
raised up on back legs like a person to strike with arms
run speeds of 35 miles "maintaines a steady pace"
has excellent staminia
can tear down trees
experience: fights off Rival Males for supreamacy. Fights with Wolves.
fighting moves: striking, clawing, biting, Shaking, holding and squeasing. Can grab large prey like "Moose" by the neck with there arms, and break there spinal cord. Is able to kill a cow with a single strike to the head.
fighting style. fights good on two legs, fights good on four legs. fights good on his back too.
Signature Move: "the Bear Hug"
protection: Bone density is extreemly thick, and is complety covered with thich fur from head to toe
pretty much only one way to kill one with a knife anyway and that is stick it up under the arm just after it swings at you (provided you ducked and are still alive and your knife is an arkansas toothpick with at least a 11" blade) happy hunting

Having seen a pissed off grizzli flip over a pickup truck on it's side like it was cardboard I'd say this one is a no brainer... there is a reason why folks who have cabins in grizzli country leave the door open when they leave... they get tired of replacing doors ripped clear off their hinges every time a grizzli wants to wander in...
Though I wouldn't wanna mess with either, I think that gorilla VS grizzli would be a one sided fight for the grizzli.

Tough call....but i will vote for the silverback simply because the massive amount of strength they have. I quickly searched them on google and it seems a lot of places say they have 8-10 times the strength of a strong human.
