I got thrown in jail by some redneck cop in Georgia for doing 15 over the speed limit... that's in KM too (Canadian boy here).... The first words he said to me were, "You Ariabic Son???" I'm not even close, just tan well, coming back from Florida. He kept me there for 2.5 hours and then let me off easy with a $230USD fine... thank goodness my sister is a journalist, she wrote to the governer of Georgia complaining about what happened to me and they sent me numerous letters of forgiveness... no refund though!

LOL... actually, he had some odd protocol and told me to follow his cruiser. He lead me to teh Georgia County Jail. Before entering the electronic sliding metal doors, teh bastard saluted the US flag and gave me a dirty look. I wish he wasn't a cop, I would definately have my way with him. With any controversial job, before criticizing it, go out and ride along with a patrolman for a couple weeks. Dealing with scumbags everday can turn any of us on this board into callous people. Thats 90% of what cops deal with, the bottom scum of society. I'd personally cut them a break, and unless they are way outa line don't disrespect people who put there life on the line for very little money, to keep us safe. I got harassed when I was 19 y.o. I was out late at night in the summer. My brother was 15 and wanted some time behind the wheel. I had just gotten back from work. Was about 1am.
We went to some new home development in an old gangsta looking Cutlass Supreme. We stopped to change positions. I saw some Caprice head lights and was pretty sure it was a cruiser. Then I saw a spot light and new it was a cruiser. I had to switch back to avoid a ticket. My brother didn't have a learners permit and even if he did, law says shotgun passenger must be over 21 y.o. I made for home, but they rolled up on us with a quickness.
They stopped us and had us get out of the car and wait at opposite ends (my car's front and the cuisers rear) and asked us what we were doing out there. Before they pulled us over, we made a story about me coming to get him from his friends house right after I got out of work. We stopped becaus we had some engine noise that turned out to be nothing and were on are way home.
They didn't believe us and searched the car for about 15 minutes. When they found nothing they let us go. The whole time they adressed us, it was with utter disdane, total lack of respect, and way to loud. It reminded me of shit I seen in the movies.
We got away with out any physical scare, but the emotional one remains.
Now, I have a friend that used to be a cop, one who works for the Sheriffs Department, and another who is a County Jailer.

yeah i give them credit. but **** suffolk cops. they are the big headed assholes that got picked on in school so they take it out on everyone else. last ticket i got was for havin an air freshner on my mirror. and a 4'' by 2 inch american flag on the bottom left side of my back window. then he decided to arrest me, but thats was my fault cause im a shit talker. but he didnt have to kick my legs out and slam my face on the corner of my car, while in hand cuffs. its not like i was threatenign him or resisting. sorry venting. i give credit when due, not to assholes like that.
