At one time I wanted to be a competitive bodybuilder and I did do one show when I was stationed in Korea. I don't want to take the health risks associated with being a pro and they don't make very much money anyway. So, I don't really have a desire to compete anymore. I have also done some modeling and even got into porn this last summer.
Right now, I am all about making money and going to college. I plan to be a millionaire by the time I am 35, in 11 years. I am well on my way to achieving that goal and I also would like to have a master's degree completed by then as well. So, when that is all said and done I will have the freedom and the ability to chase another dream, which is to be in show business. I'd like to act and have a rock band. I want to be the most ripped, athletic person in the business. Like a white LL.

Ideally, I would like to be about 240lbs and about 10-12% BF...at least that is what I think I want. I may adjust that when I get closer to it. I really like Arnie's physique from back in the 70's and I would like to emulate it...not duplicate, but emulate. I know that I am no Arnold and I never will be, but that is the look I want.
I may end up changing that plan as I go. Recently I got into Acting and I am thinking that I want to leave my options open a little. Truthfully, you cannot get far being too big...I may cap it at around 210-220 if those opportunities present themselves. Otherwise I will stick with the voice acting in cartoons and see where I end up...

After reading everyone's responses, I guess I have to travel the longest to obtain my future goal, which is to sit at 210 in the single diggies for Bodyfat. But thats def. a long term goal and am fine with being patient... So as for my first real attempt at bulking, I wouldn't mind to finish in feb or march at 185-190 before i cut up.
yea, ya'lls numbers def. motivate me

i'm about 6'0" 230 right now near 15% bf. i'd like to drop down to 10% and gain about 10 pounds. ideal for me would be 6'0" 220 at 10%. still big, quick, athletic, not freaky and slow.

which i believe you have already done..
by getting your nose in there and putting yourself right in...
so i say good luck to you and hopefully we see you in movies in the near future..
btw one more thing be patient mate...
sometimes it will seem like no one is giving me chance and so on...
but i believe it will happen for you .
good luck.

Hmm I'm 5'7" so I pretty much want to look exactly like nark after college (currently a frosh)
for baseball i'd probably want to be 180 around 10% body fat by the start of my junior year

When I grow up, I would like to 240 and 10%bf. I'm only 47, so I have a life time to get there. Right now I'm 230 @ 15%. Bulking at the moment on my second cycle.

Those guys ruined the Olympia. Bodybuilding has become a "who's gonna do the most drugs" contes.
To each their own of course, I wish you luck, but average people think coleman is grotesque and disgusting. Noone ever thought that of the arnold, or frank zane. If you ask me, the pro stage has become a joke.
I wanna be proud of who I am and what ive done with myself. Ive changed alot, and have more to do. Ill set more goals down the line, but at the moment i just want to feel good about my body. I want to be big, but proportioned. I dont want to end up with a distended stomach i cant get rid of, and live in pain.

I want to be a fitness model like ROSS. No seriously though I'm aiming more for that Muscle & Fitness Men's Cover look then a bodybuilder. As said before as you get older and start getting too big, it becomes a pain in the ass.

I've got an addiction for strength and the older I get the more a realize that it won't last forever. It's not to try and be a bad ass since any neckbone with a 38 cal can have me pushing up daisys, instead I do it for personal satisfaction. I don't deadlift and refuse to touch a bench shirt so any real powerlifting comps are out.
Damn, the more I think about it the more I can't really answer the question. Self reflection time**

What I would really like to do with my body is someday be fortunate enough to have the time to work w/ troubled kids who are on the streets or into recreational drugs etc etc and inspire them to get into something like bodybuilding to make them feel good about themselves and get off the streets. I would do it for free if I knew I changed some kids life for the better, this to me would be the most rewarding thing I could ever do in life. Because w/out bodybuilding I would have went off the deep or been in jail a long time ago.

This is a great idea bro. I say that because that is what I am working on a proposal for to submit to G-Unit Marketing sometime in the near future. I want to develop a program sponsored by G-Unit and 50 and his love for fitness, to bring to inner city schools/youth, and teach them about respect for the mind and body. In today's society of fast food and terrible school lunches, and with video game consoles at an all time high, there are too many young kids w/weight problems that lead to image problems that lead to BIGGER problems.
More on this later, but that is a great goal to have!

For me... I started working out at 14, when I developed a bit of gyno and unexplained bodyfat. By the time I hit 17 everyone was calling me the ""walking refrigerator"... I loved the way working out made me feel.. Made me confident, made me feel better about myself.. Now I am 20, I have two professionals looking at me to compete.. I am still in love with training, now more so then ever! Unfortunatly I can't say if I want to compete or not, I am focusing on school right now, but time will tell. Im in a course to design new and momre efficient types of energy! Should be a good one

yeah, competing is nice, takes alot of effort and basically no life for a 12 week regimen though. It's very rewarding, but I'm just at the point where after this show coming up I've been there and done that ya know? Compliments are great, its awesome to have people staring at you when you walk into a bar or restaurant, but after a while(A long while for me!) it gets old. You start wishing that people would get to know you for you and talk to you about something other than your body. I will do more shows, I can tell I'm already hooked, but I'm not gonna be one of these 5 shows/year guys. Need to focus on other things.

Recently I have interest in being strong. Im trying to do powerlifting at my school but prac is cancelled right now. I will see how I fair in that, but I dont think I would be that competitive being at a height disadvantage at 6'2". Recently Ive gained a lot of fat and I have been getting some, "watch your weight, and I dont mean muscle" comments. Pretty much I want to be strong and lean, but to me those seem like an oxymoron. I know I can cut up at be around 240 lean, if I don't lose any current muscle..but thats pretty tough to do. I would have to extend the time period of the weightloss. Pretty much I just wanna be huge, but in the back of my mind, I want to be more ripped, than just plain huge with fat.

I need to take some of the rebar in the back yard and cut it up and bend it into power hooks. I actually have a friend that bought some. Funny, I was thinking this yesterday when I was lifting shoulders because I have recently put on a lot of muscle and I can really tell in my upper body by how my shirts/bras fit (or should say don't fit too well). I'll probably keep going heavy until I get my muscle and metabolism way up then cut down so I'm built (but not too big) and lean. I want to be leaner then I am now, not bigger, but I also don't go by the scale...I go by how I look. Just trying to reach my own goals, no intentions of competing or anything right now

Damn swole. Down to earth thread bro....Thats kool..!!
Me I just wanna enter a local competition here in town next year (Mr LasVegas I think its called ) and invite my friends and family to watch. Have a good time doing that with my peeps is all im looking forward to, and being able to stand on stage with the other bros is awesome IMO, as I can look back and say WOW. It dont even matter if I loose, as long as I tried. As for Makin $$$$ doin it Pro, I dont think that will ever happen with me, but is quite a dream. I envy people that can act. I dont see how they do it soo well, they deffinatly deserve all that money. I hope you make it swole.
After all this, I would love to get married and have a son. Tired of being alone going from 1 to the next.
EDIT: Also im soo wanting a dog.LoL....never had 1..

You have very honorable dreams/goals bro. When you said "to have a son" you caught my attention because I have a boy who is 6.
I can tell you that there is NOTHING more rewarding than having a "little you" run around the house. That's the best!!!!!
Good luck to you! Let me know when your Vegas comp. is and I may go out there to watch it! I'm in Cali and a flight to Vegas is quick/easy! I always have business to do out there.

It's hard to say, I would really like to be about 220lbs solid muscle, but it is proving to be very difficuly while being natural. I have to eat so much food it's hard. I am about 16% BF right now and weighed in yesterday around 216 so I have a lot of work to do. Lately I have only cared about strength, looking at some of the people in my gym who are on cycle, these guys have some real solid looking muscles but I still out-lift them in ever category and I look "soft". Kinda irritating, unless I got a good pump I cant compete with them look wise.
I can't say I would want to use my body for anything, it has always been just about me. I first started lifting for football and wrestling, and it was great because I was already naturally strong then, now I just do it because I love it, and really have no intentions other then to be healthy, and well...you know, so I can say I worked my ass off and look what happened.Last edited by Psychotron; 09-17-2005 at 08:57 AM.

My long term goal as of this point is being 220 lbs with 8-10% bf. God willing I'll reach that goal by the time I am 25 (I am 23 now). It's a modest goal for most but for me it will be a milestone. I am a pure ecto and my body just doesn't like to gain - I can lose weight like a whore on crack but gaining is another story!

this is a great thread. one of the best since i registered here. its amazing how many people go to the gym, do their cycles, eat their hearts out.....but have no idea where they want to go with it! this thread actually got me thinking as i'm reading every single post in this. i am 6'1" , about 225lbs right now. about 6 1/2 years ago i was shot in the military, and i was about 255-260lbs with low body fat. i took about 4 years off of any gym work. i just want to get back to that level. both physically and mentally. i thought i had the world in my palms, but realized otherwise afterwards. bodybuilding not only builds a great physique, but it also builds a great mind. and its taken awhile to realize that. we all need to use our great physiques to so something in this world. "getting huge" isnt enough! i look at bodybuilders as a different culture within a culture. we have the ability to do something amazing with our bodies, so why cant we use that same drive and desire to do something amazing with our lives and those around us? my ultimate goal is to continue planning and eventually open up my own gym within the year. imo,, getting one more person to learn the "art" of bodybuilding, by personally training them, will make one more good/decent human being in this world. we are a different breed of people. its not because we are wanting to get big, its because of what it takes to get big. its the discipline, desire, and effort that makes us different. i love this LIFESTYLE and wouldnt trade it for anything else!
