well if there isnt anything out there, why are we sending satellites out to the edge of the solar system with "hello we're humans" messages on it?

Also another good question is was there another intelligent race in this solar system before us? Like on Mars perhaps, maybe 10 million years ago a civilization left mars or even on earth there may have been intelligence before us with the evidence buried 10 miles down in the dirt, they may have killed themselves.

Makes you wonder though because humans evolved from monkeys right, well here we are and there are still monkeys around the place? maybe when we were monkeys someone else was here....
