Can I get HIV from oral sex?

Yes, it is possible for either partner to become infected with HIV through performing or receiving oral sex. There have been a few cases of HIV transmission from performing oral sex on a person infected with HIV. It is funny I was talking to a teen pregnancy counselor a few years ago and she said girls would come in asking for a prego test and when it came back negative they would sigh a big relief.. then she (the counselor) would say great your not pregnant but have you been tested for HIV/AIDS, Syphilis, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Trichomoniasis, Vaginal infections,Genital Herpes , HPV, Hepatitis etc.. and the girls would be like??? what?? I only have sex a few times.

It is amazing how little people know (even many here) know about STD's.
