mate killed in iraq.
hey guys just had the worst news off my year. one of my closest friends has died in iraq by a fukking roadside bomb. most of u mite have heard about it, 2 british soldiers dead 1 injured. it happened around 7.30am on a routine patrol. two ammoured l/rovers. he was 23 y/o and left behind a 5yr/o little girl. 1000 troops in iraq it had to be him. i found out this new about 8o'clock 28/2/06 from his mother. i cant get over it atall, cnt believe it my m8 who is the nicest man you'll eva meet. his g/f in devostated and family wil all miss him. i kept in contact with him daily via msn messenger and told me he was gettin rocket attacted evry night, he got attacked 18 times in one night 2week ago the most since the war broke out. wtf. i was the last person to hear from him 2days ago wen we spoke for only 2or3 mins cause he had to go. anyway thought id share my experiance of 2nite with you guys.
p.s nice to see the fukkin scum bags throwing rocks towards the convoy after the explosion. very nice. hope there kids die a servere body rotting illness.

Buddy I'm really sorry to hear that you, his family and all his mates have to deal with his sudden death. I'm a serving soldier with over twenty years service, I've lost buddies oversea's and the only advice I can give you is to take councelling. Its the only thing that helps, it really does. It doesn't mean your a coward, or soft, that you can't deal with your grief. But his buddies in Iraq will be offered it, and his immediate family. But you have to remember that your de****g with the very same loss.
Even with all my experience there's nothing I can say here to take the hurt and confusion away, I can only offer the advice I've just given. You'll be surprised how easy it is to get free councelling in the UK.
I had five buddies killed oversea's (we were serving on the same tour) and I tried to deal with the loss for years alone, refusing help, it doesn't work. Your just an ordinary bloke on the street, your not equipt to deal with this alone.
PM me anytime if you want.
