Just got back from Orthopaedic. not good..
so i had to see an orthopaedic today for the knee injury i got on thursday playing basketball. its still vey sore and cannot do much movement. doc was cool, he actually recognized me. i guess we go to the same gym. he was playing around with my knee and moving it, bending it and what not. from the pains i had in certain spots he thinks i may have ruptured my acl and possibly some damage to the mcl. This SuckS!!! i go for an MRI on wednesday and ill know then for sure whats going on. til then. sit in bed, learn stuff and get my posts up!

You will be able to heal it and be back quickly. That's the beauty of ACL tears and such these days, they have such a quick comeback protocol it's fantastic.
Don't be like me and totally RUPTURE both patellar tendons. Talk about f*cked!
Good luck, you'll be fine in a few months.

Swole is right an acute ACL tears really no longer than 4-6weeks recovery 8 at the max. If you find a good PT or even read up on therapy exercises for the ACL you'll be up and running in no time

okay. for the guys who know what happend with my knee. i went to the doc today to go over results of my MRI. he was right, my ACL is totalled Screwed. seems to be no problems with the MCL. so i have to go see another specialist next week to go over surgery options. i have been doing my research and they gotta insert a new tendon. doesnt look like its going to be fun at all!!!!!! start physical therapy this week also. i guess they cant do the surgery until i get a full range of motion in my knee.

saw the ACL sugeon today, scheduled for first week of june to operate. told me that the first week is hell, they going to give me something that will keep the pain out for the first 12 hours after the surgery, and if i dont get ahead on the pain meds then i will be in trouble with pain. besides that recovery is better then expected. bright side is, is that he is convinced that he will have me good in 3 months. said by september i can be back on a basketball court!!! dont know bout that lol.. but we'll see...
