Where can I get a good laptop for a good price?
Im talkin about $500.-$750.
I hate dell, their customer service sucks. I can't understand a word they say.

woudln't be a great laptop for that price. Dell is one of the cheaper $ manufactors. HP makes ok laptops now that they have absorbed compaq. I'd probably recommend you take a trip to Sams or costmart if you have em where you live. They usually have some good cheap off brand laptops. I personally don't like sony viao but i have heard they are on the $ side.

I used to work for Compaq I have a friend there who sells the refurbs. Factory refurbs not the ones where the store just reloads software. PM me if you want his contact info.

Sometimes newegg has some decent prices on lappies. Checked ebay/cosco/wallmart?

ebay... If you dont mind getting something used, search www.craigslist.com in your area. Killer deals all the time there.

Im gettin frustrated as hell! Guess I might hzve to splurge a lil.

It might be a litle hard to find a "new" laptop for under a G with those specs.
Did you have preference in monitor size?

Any reason why you don't want and AMD chip? Athlon 64 chips are pretty nice.
