Best have a fast processor to tie it all in. The 7900 is a nasty card though. It will fly.

RAM is fuggin DIRT cheap right now. The processors need to hurry up and come down though...
Careful with that RAM though. Too much is not always a good thing

I'm looking to buy the 17" macbook early next month. But there are alot of unresolved issues with Adobe Effects with the emulator, or if you use boot camp for xp you loose platform consistency. Also Final Cut Pro just announced version 6 which isn't going to come out for a while now and it fixed all the bugs from the conversion to intel chips.
Oh, and the new 64bit dual cores drop early fall... Right after summer. And supposedly Mac is going to get their dirty hands on them first... And OS X is built for 64bit chips which means everything will be native. Also if i get the macbook now i might not get full compatibility with windows Vista when that drops...
Ahhh but i want one bad bro...
Oh did i mention it has a 750 markup from windows pc's that have better specs... But def. not a better OS system...

Final Cut Studio is native for intel already. Who told you it wasn't?
http://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/
Native PowerPC. Native Intel.
Step up to Universal. Final Cut Studio now runs natively on both Intel- and PowerPC-based Macs. That means you can tap into the extraordinary performance of the new MacBook Pro — up to twice as fast as its PowerBook cousins. And if you’re using a Power Mac, you’ll be ready for the next generation of desktop Macs, coming later in 2006.
Boot camp runs XP fine. No problems at all. We have several MacBooks here at work and I've tested it.Muscle Asylum Project Athlete

Parallels Workstation
t’s here! Parallels is proud to launch the Beta program the first virtualization solution specifically designed to work with Intel-powered Apple computers! Parallels Workstation 2.1 Beta6 for Mac OS X is NOT simply a "dual-boot" solution; rather, it empowers users the ability to use Windows, Linux and any other operating system at the same time as Mac OS X, enabling users to enjoy the comfort of their Mac OS X desktop while still being able to use critical applications from other OSes.
Broad OS Support:
Use any version of Windows (3.1, 3.11, 95, 98, Me, 2000, NT, XP, 2003), any Linux distribution, FreeBSD, Solaris, OS/2, eComStation, or MS-DOS in secure virtual machines running alongside Mac OS X.
Great Performance:
Driven by full support for dual-core processors and Intel Virtualization Technology (included in almost every new Intel-powered Mac), virtual machines created using Parallels Workstation 2.1 Beta6 offer near-native performance and rock-solid stability.
Unmatched Ease of Use:
Download the program and install it with a single click. Build a virtual machine in seconds using helpful wizards. Configure virtual machines using a simple web-inspired interface.
