haha, i remember back in the day i was doing incline press in my room and the 50 pound plate fell off the barbell and bounced off the edge of my desk leaving a huge gash in it, then it hit my sheatrock wall and knoked a fat hole in that too. haha, i always secure the plates on my barbells now.

Isnt that the same fat bastard who tried to break the bench press record at Mr. Olympia and failed. I think he owns the record too doesnt he?

yea. there not olympic style plates though. i got the bfco 50s with the 1 inch diameter hole. im pretty sure it would be hard to find a 50 pound plate for the olympic size 2 inch hole

In the video it's Steve Wong and it was his 832 lb bench press attempt. It was his second attempt.
he survives and actualyl does his third attempt with the same weight and is successful. The third attempt

haha yea i agree. lifting is supposed to be mostly for looking good. this dude is fu_kin fat as hell. if i were him, id be more concerned with doing sit ups than my max on bench

lol, that shit is funny. The next challenge is going to be if he can see his feet while hes standing straight.

so who cares how fat they are! They pushed a big weight and that's allgood
although i think that bench pressing and squatting.. with the bench shirts and squat suits take awya SOME of the credibility of their lifts
i dunno if deadlift suits play a big role in improving one's deadlift, though
i heard that mendelson attempted 1050 lbs but he couldnt pull it to his chest - a sign of the equipment going out of control

His wrists rolled just enough at the bottom he lost the grip, also he did live had a couple of ribs smashed an internal brusing pretty badly I think that was it dont quote me on that tho just dredging it out of memory

lol shyt that must suck. I bet he lost 10lbs by the weights droppin on his tummy like that
-
05-21-2006, 04:39 PM #24
whats the point, wow you can bench that once, so?
-
05-21-2006, 07:17 PM #25
you know...thats y i dont use clips...i learn to balance them...so if i do get in trouble, lean to side, and BOOM im free...(*of course my cement has a few gashes in it, and my ears ring...but anything beats a broken chest plate)

Do you think the spotters would have been able to prevent it on this one? It just looks like it happend so quick.
