IOC, you must ban the color red - unfair!
This is an outrage - all red uniforms must be banned for their performance enhancing effects on athletes! No more red!
Psychology: red enhances human performance in contests.
Evolutionary Anthropology Research Group, University of Durham, Durham DH1 3HN, UK. [email protected]
Red coloration is a sexually selected, testosterone -dependent signal of male quality in a variety of animals, and in some non-human species a male's dominance can be experimentally increased by attaching artificial red stimuli. Here we show that a similar effect can influence the outcome of physical contests in humans--across a range of sports, we find that wearing red is consistently associated with a higher probability of winning. These results indicate not only that sexual selection may have influenced the evolution of human response to colours, but also that the colour of sportswear needs to be taken into account to ensure a level playing field in sport.

I saw this guy from the gym that has been getting really big lately getting a morning strength session in... and guess what - he was wearing RED! He apparently has been hiding his use by sneaking in at obscure times. If he takes the gym's Bench Press trophey this month - I am going to demand a search of his locker for this red paraphenalia! Its not fair - all the stores in town don't sell red workout clothes - I think he is ordering this sh!t off the Internet! He is sooooo busted... he should have his gym membership revoked!
