How many of you are truly happy and why?
This is just something i was thinking about this morning.
I'm not refering to rediculously happy which is often difficult to keep up with for a long period of time.
What i am talking about is do you do what you want or at least take the steps to get there, or do you sit back and just wish things were different, but do nothing to change them?
I guess this is kind of a two part question huh

super duper happy... can't complain. Life is good right now, and things seem to be in my favor.. BUT, there are tough times and I usually try to be pro active to make them better... only way imo.

I'm ****ing miserable right now, I got a bunk bottle of test e/prop blend, and the shit has put a golfball sized welt on my arm. I'm fed up with this guy I've been getting it from, I've had like 3 different things in the past 6 months that hurt so bad I could hardly train!!!

i believe that i will one day be truly happy and that is what drives me to get up every morning and try harder than i did the day before...i will not settle for second place or mediocrity...i will strive for the best all the time, i will give 110% and anything less is unacceptable....
right now i am doing what i want and also doing things that make me happy and are going to enrich my life for the better...But i will never be content...ever...

I'm not particular happy at this time. I dont have a 'real' job, no girl, all my friends are spread out over the country, and my car is slowing biting the dust

Generally speaking I am very happy with my life at the moment, it is not "perfect" but chasing a "perfect" life can be a good way to ensure that you are always dissapointed with what you've got.
I suppose 2 key things have lead to me being happier now than I have ever been in the past:
Firstly the realisation that that things that bring instant gratifification are seldom the things that bring long term happiness, for example I spent alot of my younger years going out and getting drunk (and more besides) and I had a great time, but I got fatter and broker as I went. Now I realise that sacrifice and hard work i.e. good diet and training, while not so much fun at the time lead to far greater happiness in the long term. This same model can be applied to most areas of life.
Secondly, without getting too philosophical, the realisation that we can all list 10 bad things in our life and 10 good things in our life and it really is up to us to decide which we want to focus on. Some people choose to see the negative in everything and once stuck in that mindset they will never be happy while others focus on the upside and take the positives from different aspects of their lives, thats not to say they ignore their problems but rather that they find solutions to those problems that can be changed and don't dwell on those that can't.
OMG I sound like a self help book!

Not to happy at the moment. Body is getting me down and diet/training has been lousy lately. I think after my surgery things will steadily get better.

Hm, when I really sit and think about it I know I am not happy. I'm not doing what I want career wise, haven't achieved my fitness goals.... had a cheat DAY yesterday ta boot... f--k! And while the gym is my favourite place in the whole world to be, it can't come home with me and I really don't want to go to bed with dumb bells.. Perhaps today isn't a great day to be answering this. LOL But day to day I am a happy person, I just know what I have to do to be truly happy...everything takes time... luckily, I"m on ly 25 so time is on my side, for now.
I know what I have to do, I'm jsut waiting for the time when I can do it... If I stick to my plan I will be truly happy within 5 years...

For the most part I am happy. There are things I am unhappy with. I have tried to change them but the things I have tried have not worked so it has become very frustrating. I'm kinda at wits end and not sure what to do at this point.

I am in between right now. THings going well are: I have a great internship, I am tlaking to a new girl, it's summer etc..
Bad things: I am dieting for a show and a lil behind, that girl causes me some stress here and there (to be expected at first), and I have to drive an hour to work, and most of my friends aren't in town for another month, and I have not been home to visit family since christmas which I would like to do.

being retired from athletics has given me the resources, both time and money, to pursue so many different avenues. now, for the first time in my life, im going to take it completly easy. i just got another house in upstate ny where im gonna spend this whole year with my girl and her two young sons. ive always been happy but it seems like its been alot of work at times. ive always tried to put others first and its been very rewarding. i'll be 39 in a few days and i think im done. this is where i start coasting. fish in the pond, chair on the deck, cigar in my hand. happy?...you bet.

I am the most happy when I am surrounded by good friends or in the gym. I am only 21 so I have alot of other pieces to still put together, I'll be happy when I find a major in college that actually works out for me... oh and when I find a girl thats worth it

Wow, I need to sit down and reconsider the direction my life is going.

when you got some one at your back that cares for you and believes in you that helps keep you strong, but in the end self relience and self respect make me happy.although i could really do with winning the lottery im happy with what i got but its human nature to want more i guess.
